About

¡Hola! Elizabeth Olmedo, known as Eli to her friends (pronounced like the U.S. Ellie), is an editor and writer.
According to reliable sources, Elizabeth started “telling” stories long before she could talk. To this day, no one knows the content of those lost masterpieces. But it only made sense that she grew up to attend Bethel University (Indiana) where she earned a BA in English with an emphasis in writing. As much as she loved storytelling, she swore she would never edit. But what is that about “never say never”? While in a journalism class her senior year, Elizabeth discovered a passion for editing. She states it was love at first typo.
Since graduating in 2010, Elizabeth has worked with a writing and editing mentor, taken editing courses through The PEN Institute, joined Jaime Jo Wright’s MadLit Mentoring program, and attended workshops and conferences with the goal of further honing these skills.
Regardless of the time period or setting, she pens stories steeped in mystery and dusted with romance, while striving to create beacons in the darkness. Elizabeth is currently working on what she hopes will become a series with an investigative journalist heroine.
Elizabeth is a member of The Christian PEN (Proofreaders and Editors Network), the Christian Editor Connection, and WAN (Writer’s Accountability Network).
Though Elizabeth attended university in the United States, she is from Spain and also has lived in Israel. Some of her hobbies include watching movies, cooking, and learning Hebrew.
